Happy New Year!
After a brief hiatus for the holidays and the less than cooperative weather, we will resume regular postings of construction photos.
In spite of the exceptionally disagreeable December, the folks from Delko are working hard to make as much progress as possible including working weekends to make up for lost time. We are thankful for their efforts.
In the coming weeks we will see the heavy timber trusses of the Great Room installed, the windows and roof installed as well. In addition, continuing mechanical work can accelerate as soon as we are completely closed in.
Looking forward to an exciting several months. Stay tuned for more…
In this photo we see the main lodge building from the north. IN spite of difficult weather, the crews have been working hard to get things enclosed. As of Jan 9, 2014, the heavy timber trusses for the center section have been delivered and are being assembled to place them via crane. Shortly following this process, the windows are due in and the building will be enclosed.
Here we see the main panel which will provide the electrical service for the lodge building. There will be additional smaller panels throughout the building.
Here we see the wrap around porch under construction on the cottages.
A close up of the drilling process.
In spite of the cold weather, the well drillers have been hard at work. This rig is drilling a 10″ well down approximately 280 feet through soil. limestone and then soil again in order to provide the lodges with potable water.
